Moosehead Family Campground is situated one mile South of Greenville, Maine on Route 15. The campground is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and offers full hook-up and tent sites. The campground is owned by a local couple who organize “themed weekends” with lots of exciting activities. It is a perfect spot for a family vacation.

Katahdin Iron Works

Katahdin Iron Works is an unincorporated area about an hour east of Greenville, Maine, located near the town of Brownville. The area was once home to an ironworks operation that was active from 1843 to 1890, producing pig iron and other products for use in the construction of machinery, tools, and buildings. Today, the area is managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands and offers opportunities for hiking, camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
